Kingsport Art Guild
The Kingsport Art Guild provides opportunities to the community to study, practice, and exhibit the visual arts and promotes interest in the arts to the general public. The Guild manages an art gallery located on the 2nd floor of the Kingsport Renaissance Center. The gallery features exhibitions on a rotating basis of fine arts, fine crafts and photography from area artists and is open to the public weekdays, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Art Guild also offers art classes for children and adults in a variety of media, weekly “paint-in” sessions, and various competitive art shows including the Appalachian Art Show held each April.

Kingport Ballet
The Kingsport Ballet is a classical ballet school and company with a Vaganova curriculum. The organization is directed by ballet mistress and artistic director Valeria Sinyavskaya and presents The Nutcracker the first weekend in December and a full-length ballet such as Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty and Coppelia each spring. Students also perform in a Spring Concert each May as well as in various education outreach and collaborative community performances. A yearly summer workshop is held in July, featuring master teachers from around the world. The organization is housed in a spacious, renovated facility with mini-theatre in downtown Kingsport.

Kingsport Theatre Guild
In continuous operation since 1947, Kingsport Theatre Guild is one of the oldest community theatres in Tennessee. Kingsport Theatre Guild offers a year-round schedule of musicals, dramas, comedies, thrillers and children’s theatre, including some curriculum-related school day performances for school groups. Volunteer performers and technicians work closely with theater professionals and staff to ensure high-quality productions and valuable educational experience for all who participate.

Netherland Inn/Exchange Place Association
The Association is composed of approximately 300 individuals and families who support the maintenance and programs of three Kingsport historical sites – financially and also with their time and effort – in order to provide an understanding of earlier times in the community for ourselves and for future generations. Elected officers and a board of directors guide the Association’s work. A site steering committee directs the restoration, construction, maintenance and programs at each site. The steering committees operate autonomously, but with Association oversight. Unpaid volunteers perform most of the work at the historic sites; however, the steering committees may hire employees, buy materials and supplies, and contract for items for the sites as appropriate. The main source of income to the Association is by annual of life membership fees. The Association also may receive gifts from groups and individuals in memorials and to honor living members.

Symphony of the Mountains
From its beginnings as a small, volunteer community orchestra performing in school auditoriums and gymnasiums to its growth as a professional symphony, drawing musicians and patrons from a 100-mile radius, Symphony of the Mountains has always had the musical enrichment of the entire region as its primary goal. This musical enrichment includes compelling classical concerts, entertaining pops and light music offerings, captivating soloists, and empowering opportunities for young musicians. It also includes educational outreach efforts that touched the lives of more than 12,000 children.
