Art Nights / City Lights
Art Nights City Lights is a collaborative performing arts series sponsored by the Cultural Arts Division of the City of Kingsport and Engage Kingsport. Concerts are held in the 350 seat theatre of the Renaissance Center and on special occasions at the 1700 seat Eastman Toy F. Reid Employee Auditorium. We try to have at least one event a month, with various types of entertainment. Past performers include: Blue Highway, Muriel Anderson, Al Petteway and Amy White, Vienna Boys Choir, Cumberland County Playhouse, Elizabeth von Trapp, Bob Livingston, ETSU Bluegrass Band, Booher Family, Trey Hensley, Wood and Strings Puppet Theatre, Lightnin Charlie and the Red, Hot and Blue in addition to offerings from the Kingsport Theatre Guild (one of Tennessee’s oldest community theaters). Events are funded through grants, sponsorships, and ticket sales.
