2010 Arts Awards
Nominations are now open for the 2010 Arts Awards. Nomination deadline is March 22, 2010. Forms are available at the Arts Council office. Awards will be announced at the conclusion of the April 29, 2010 Arts Crawl. NominationForm.doc
The Art Awards is a biennial event. Nominations are solicited from the local community and are then sent to a panel of independent arts professionals outside our area for judging. Ten people or businesses are chosen from any of the three categories; Arts Leadership, Distinguished Artist, and Distinguished Patron. A unique piece of art is commissioned, from a local or regional artist to be given as the award. This event recognizes artistic achievement and community contributors. Sponsors are sought for each award and a representative makes the presentation at the ceremony. Live entertainment is provided and reception follows. In 2006 ACGK honored our first Lifetime Achievement Award winner, Charles Goodwin. This event is a service to our arts community.
