2010 Arts Awards

KINGSPORT—The Arts Council of Greater Kingsport is seeking nominations for its 2010 Arts Awards, to be held April 29. Categories are: Arts Leadership, Distinguished Artist, and Distinguished Patron. Any organization, business or individual within Tennessee may nominate. Awards will be presented during the Arts Crawl.  

The Arts Leadership Award(s) recognizes organizations, educators and arts administrators who have demonstrated significant support of, or participation in, activities which foster excellence in, appreciation of, or access to, the arts in the Greater Kingsport area. 

The Distinguished Artist Award(s) recognizes artists of exceptional talent and creativity—in any discipline—who, over the course of their lifetime, have contributed to the arts in the Greater Kingsport area and have helped guide and influence directions, trends, and aesthetic practices. 

The Distinguished Patron Award(s) recognizes volunteers, businesses and/or corporations who have a demonstrated commitment to supporting the arts in the Greater Kingsport area.
