About This Artist Evelyn McAmis Bales is a poet living in Northeast Tennessee. Her poems and stories have been published in journals and anthologies throughout the Appalachian region and beyond. Her chapbook, Kinkeeper, was recently published by Finishing Line Press, Georgetown, Kentucky. Kinkeeper is available at www.amazon.com and www.finishinglinepress.com as well as from the author. She has a story forthcoming in a Seton Hall anthology, two poems from Inspirit, and a poem in the anthology Daughters of the Land to be published by Texas Tech University Press. She has a B.S. and M.S. from East Tennessee State University and has studied at the University of Edinburgh, Scotland, as a member of the Appalachian/Scottish Studies Exchange. She is listed in the Poets and Writers Directory of Poets at www.pw.org.
